Were you preparing yourself to fail before you even started?

How did you feel when you weren’t successful?

Please be really honest with yourself….

Do you remember what you were telling yourself right before and after you quit?

Were any of these thoughts running through your mind?

“If I gain any weight at all…I’m going to start smoking again.””

 Or…

Stop Smoking Hypnosis Tips-5 Proven Tips to Make Your Stop Smoking Hypnosis Hypnosis Session a Success!

As you use hypnosis to stop smoking, keep these quit smoking tips in mind. The following stop smoking hypnosis tips will help guide you into a deeper, stronger, and more effective state of trance.

Remember, you’re in control. The hypnotist is just a guide assisting you in the process of awakening your subconscious mind.

Relax

Entering a trance state is about releasing the everyday stressors of your life. As you relax your body, you’ll be able to sense a greater clarity in your thought processes. You’ll be able to venture through the landscape of your mind with a sense of lucidity you might not have ever expected to experience!

Just breathe deeply and concentrate on your heartbeat, letting your thoughts float by without latching onto any one of them.

Stay Focused on the Hypnotist’s Voice

The hypnotist is there to guide you and assist you. The hypnotist will give you suggestions that will reinforce your experience of the hypnotic process, moving you further and further into deep states of trance.

Allow the hypnotist’s voice to fill your conscious mind, occupying it as you explore the exciting landscape of your powerful subconscious mind together.

Allow Yourself to Participate Fully in the Experience--Don’t Hold Back!

Ultimately, the effectiveness of your stop smoking hypnosis session is up to you. Go into the session with a positive mindset, eager to create change in your state of mind.

Negative self-talk will only hold you back, not only in your hypnotic session, but in your life as well. Be ready to create change and open the pathway between your subconscious and conscious mind. You are the master of your own mind. Your willingness to create lasting change will determine the effectiveness of hypnosis on your life.

Hypnosis is a two-way street. It requires openness to change. But, most of all, it requires that you are willing to move into a deep and fulfilling awareness of self.

Notice Any Emotions and Where You Feel Them in Your Body

Believe it or not, we store emotions in our subconscious memory. That is why certain people, situations and events are able to “push our buttons” and trigger and unexpected emotional response in us.

During your hypnosis session, pay attention to different feelings in your body. The awareness of where we keep different emotions is key to understanding and controlling them.

If a difficult emotion arises during your session, notice how it feels and moves in your body. Don’t attempt to avoid or repress these feelings. Open them up and explore them. Move your consciousness to the middle of these feelings.

If the feeling comes with a sense of motion or color, try moving the feeling in the opposite direction or assigning it a different, positive-associated color.

Have Fun and Enjoy Yourself

Aha! The most important tip of all time: enjoy yourself!

Hypnosis is a very exciting, fun, and rewarding experience. Many people "wake up" from the experience and feel a light, refreshed, "glowy" sensation in their bodies. Their minds feel clear and easy.

Take a deep breath, close your eyes, relax and enjoy yourself...and repeat after me...

Stop Smoking Hypnosis--The Best Way to Stop Smoking Without Gaining Weight

If you’re a smoker, whether you’ve been smoking for weeks, months, or years, then you’ve probably looked for the best way to stop smoking.  Maybe you’ve considered, or even tried, the reduction method or just quitting cold turkey.

What is Stop Smoking Hypnosis?

Have you ever considered using hypnosis to stop smoking?  It is likely that, if you’ve tried to quit cold turkey, you failed, because it does not address the necessary change in mindset required to finally put away such an addictive habit.

Stop smoking hypnosis reinforces positive changes in your behavior while reducing, or even eliminating, your urges toward negative behavior. Hypnosis alters your perceptions and behaviors by changing the control center of all conscious thought patterns--your subconscious mind.

How Does Stop Smoking Hypnosis Work?

All longstanding behaviors and patterns are rooted in your subconscious mind.  That is why it is difficult to change old behaviors, even if we intensely desire to. After all, the physical addiction to nicotine passes from our bodies in a matter of 3-10 days. But, it is the mental addiction that is the most difficult part of quitting.

Smokers, through behavioral repetition (habit), have rooted the act of smoking deep into their personalities. They have taught themselves, through a form of negative self-hypnosis, "They just don’t feel right," unless they are participating in those old habits.

Often, when smokers try to quit, they replace their old bad habits with new bad habits. To satisfy their oral fixation, they begin eating more. Usually, they start to eat candy or junk food to fill that "hole" where "something is missing."

Benefits of Quitting Smoking

Nevertheless, if you’ve really set your mind to quit smoking, hypnosis actually changes your mindset from the inside out.  You no longer feel the urge to fill that hole, because your mind does not think that anything is missing. In fact, you really understand all the fantastic things you gain from stopping such an expensive and harmful habit.

The best thing to do is replace your old bad habits with new and positive ones. When you quit smoking, you’ll have a larger lung capacity, so you can go for long walks or ride a bicycle through the park. You’ll find great relief being able to work on projects without the need to constantly stop and light up. You won’t have to worry about leaving friends at a restaurant or bar just so you can go outside and smoke in the cold.

Advantages of Stop Smoking Hypnosis

They great thing about hypnosis is that it plants deep and powerful suggestions into your subconscious mind.  With the help of hypnosis, you can quit smoking in a painless and natural way, without the use of toxic tasting gums, or dangerous and unsightly skin patches. You’ll feel empowered to fill your routines with positive, life-altering behaviors instead of harsh and painful ones.

Not only will this prevent the dreaded weight gain (which I used as an excuse so many times as a smoker), but it will even allow you to explore new hobbies and perspectives on your life.  Think of all the time you’ve wasted smoking when you could have actually been doing something! Stop smoking hypnosis is an amazing, life changing tool that will not only decrease your urges to smoke, but can change your whole mindset about yourself! Stress Hypnosis--How to Achieve Stress Relief with Hypnosis Now

If you feel that you have been overwhelmed with stress, hypnosis would be the perfect thing for you. Hypnosis is an amazing tool for stress relief, calming your mind and body by offering you control over your emotional states.

Maintaining stress relief with hypnosis is as simple, accessible, and attainable as reminding yourself that a majority of stress comes from within. This realization actually offers you a sense of control and aptitude that will prepare you for stressful situations.

Causes of Stress

A majority of stress is caused from change in our lives. Changes in your lifestyle, job, and residence are all sources of stress. How you perceive the changes that occur in your life will determine both how you experience stress and how much stress you experience.

There is positive stress and negative stress. Positive stress motivates us to complete projects or otherwise change our life for the better. However, negative stress often piles up (sometimes unnoticed) until we become anxious and overwhelmed.

Stress Symptoms

Symptoms of stress can be as wide and varied as the person experiencing them. Headaches, lack of energy, anxiousness, negative self-talk, and depression can all be signs of being over-stressed.

Stress affects us in two ways. It affects our minds and our bodies.

Much of stress can be avoided or dealt with in positive ways. Having an adaptable outlook on life (roll with the punches), being prepared for incoming stress, and having a positive outlook on stress (This may be hard now, but this task will influence me in positive ways.) can all be excellent ways to reduce perceived stress.

Workplace Stress

Workplace stress can be difficult to manage because it is hardest to avoid. Whether stress is coming from new projects (or falling behind on old ones) or from interpersonal workplace relationships, it is important to keep in mind that your general well being is more important than the expectations of your job.

That being said, there are several methods for appropriately dealing with and avoiding workplace stress.

What is Stress Hypnosis?

For example, stress hypnosis is an excellent method for dealing with feelings of anxiety, depression, and the general emotional stress of being "stretched too thin."

Stress hypnosis is a way to energize your mind and your body, allowing you to recuperate quickly from ongoing stress. It adjusts your perceptions to see potential negative stress and gives you the foundation to prepare yourself and turn it into positive stress.

How Does Stress Hypnosis Work?

Stress Hypnosis works by accessing the power of the subconscious and communicating it to your conscious mind. Hypnosis gives you power over the states of trance that your mind is always moving through.

This process can be very relaxing, meditative, restful, and leave your mind and body with a general sense of peace and well-being.

Benefits of Stress Hypnosis

You’ll feel more prepared to take on new tasks once your mind and body are relieved of useless and energy-draining anxieties! Hypnosis reinforces the positive perception that stress is only there to motivate you, and that you have control over your life. It is an empowering experience realizing that you can choose how stress affects your body and mind.

10 Stop Smoking Self-Hypnosis Affirmations to Help You to Quit Smoking

As you begin your life as a non-smoker, it is important to constantly remind yourself of why you quit smoking. An excellent and effective way to do this is to use a form of self-hypnosis. Stop smoking hypnosis can be used at all stages of consciousness. You don’t have to be in a deep trance in order to reinforce your conscious and subconscious desire to quit smoking.

One tool is to create and use affirmations to bolster your confidence. If you feel the urge to smoke again, repeat these affirmations. You might even notice that they send you into a light, calm trance that can be very relaxing as you deal with stressful situations where you might have turned to cigarettes.

If you post these affirmations and mantras around your house, office, and car, it will help by continuously sending these positive messages to your subconscious:

I Love Me Enough to Be Smoke Free

Remember that you chose to quit smoking out of respect for yourself. Take that "lack" that you might feel when you crave a cigarette and, instead of becoming tense and worrisome, fill that "hole" with positive feelings of love. Repeat the above affirmation. Breathe deeply, because you can!

I Deserve to Be Healthy and Smoke Free

Many people smoke because they lack confidence. Subconsciously, they might want to harm themselves in some way. Smoking is an expression of self loathing.

But, once you realize that you deserve health and that you deserve to live a smoke-free lifestyle, then it becomes much easier to recognize your own self worth.

I’m Falling in Love with Fresh Air

A fun visualization, as you repeat this affirmation aloud, or in your head, is to imagine the air filled with bright sparkly lights. Give them a color that, for you, represents an energetic and healthy feeling. It doesn’t matter what color it is, as long as it makes sense to you!

As you breathe in this fresh air, really imagine the sensation that these twinkles of light are warming your lungs and rejuvenating your body. Feel the fresh air moving the oxygen through your body, your fingers and toes, and even directly to your brain!

It’s an amazing feeling, isn’t it?

I Feel Refreshed, Renewed, and Relaxed

This affirmation is perfect for when you are waking up or preparing to sleep. These can both be difficult times when urges tend to resurge.

Instead of feeling those needless urges of the old you, feel the energetic potential and positive awareness of the new you. Trust me, you’ll love yourself for it, sleep easier, and wake up refreshed and vibrant.

You’ll feel like a new person!

Other Affirmations to Keep in Mind

Here are some other excellent affirmations in your journey of stop smoking hypnosis. Remember to post these around you in visible locations for best self-hypnosis effect:

It is safe for me to succeed and be smoke free.

I am creating a new healthy smoke free life.

I deserve to be healthy, happy, and smoke-free forever.

I know I am worthy of a happy smoke free life.

I love me enough to let go of my relationship with tobacco.

I easily release any attachment I have to smoking.

The Top 5 Reasons Smokers Resist Quitting Smoking-A Hypnotist's Perspective

If you're a smoker...and have found yourself wanting to quit smoking...but dragging your feet....

Consider this...

When you stop smoking, your mind and body will initially resist your choice. For days, weeks, or even years after you quit smoking, smokers come up with reasons to justify a relapse. Do not fear, it is the same with any other kind of behavior or addiction.

Quitting smoking is just like changing any other long-term habit. The conscious mind always comes up with reasons to maintain the status quo. It finds tricky ways to not change a behavior.

So, here are the most common rationalizations that smokers use to resist change. You might recognize them in yourself. Just know that these excuses are just tricks. They can be overcome and dealt with in a supportive environment.

Fear of Gaining Weight

Most smokers, in their attempts to quit smoking, tend to misplace their craving for nicotine and turn it into a craving for food. Usually, it is to fulfill their developed oral fixation. Eating might also seem attractive in order to satisfy the vague craving.

Instead of replacing the craving for cigarettes with a craving for junk food, you should snack on healthy foods. Keep a steady supply of carrots or your favorite vegetable. It is also a good idea to chew sugar-free gum.

Also, you should take advantage of your new health by going on walks or bicycle rides. Cardio becomes much easier when your lungs are healthy. Also, you will burn more calories because your body can more efficiently make use of the oxygen to burn fat while you exercise.

Fear of Losing Control

All too often smokers rationalize their smoking by claiming that it keeps them calm. However, nicotine is actually a stimulant. It speeds up the heart and increases our adrenaline levels. Smoking actually makes us prone to anxiety. It triggers the "fight or flight" response in our bodies. In that state, we have very little control.

What smoking does is hit our dopamine reward trigger. We trick ourselves into a feeling of accomplishment.

However, during this kind of addiction, we have lost our sense of control. Addicts are ruled by their addictions, and, ultimately, their world revolves around when and where they can get their next fix.

Fear of Failure

It is easy to fall into the "I can’t quit, what’s the use" mentality. But I always respond with “if you don’t keep trying, then how do you know?” Fear of failure is the most limiting belief that a person can maintain. And, think of all the energy it takes to maintain that kind of fear. It’s exhausting!

A person could apply that fear of failure to any project, but they would never get anything done. If you’re using smoking as a reason to not get anything done, then maybe you’ve used this excuse too….

Fear of Losing My Best Friend

Smokers often maintain a kind of interdependence in relation to their habit. They feel or sense a kind of bond with cigarettes because smoking becomes a way to cope with an uncomfortable situation or feeling. Many smokers perceive smoking cigarettes as a metaphor for a friend who is always there in time of need.

Dump the habit and get some new friends!

Fear of Uncontrolled Emotions

In the first few weeks of your quit, make sure to tell everyone that you are quitting, and set up a supportive environment for yourself.

If you find yourself becoming irritable or emotional, take some time, focus on yourself and your body, take some deep breaths, relax, and repeat this phrase…“I deserve to be smoke free!”

Make a commitment to yourself to focus on the years of your life you’ll save if you quit now!

Then....take a deep breath....and repeat after me...."I Love Me Enough to Stop Smoking and Be Smoke Free"

Discover the Top 5 Benefits of Using Hypnosis to Stop Smoking!

If you’re looking for an excellent and proven way to stop smoking, hypnosis is an amazing, behavior-altering method to finally put down that habit you’ve tried to kick so many times before! There are too many reasons to use hypnosis to stop smoking that, really, you can no longer rationalize and justify your expensive and unattractive habit.

Maybe you’re like me, and you wanted control of your life and health again. There are other amazing benefits to shrugging that nagging monkey off your back.

Think about all the poison you’re pumping into your system (and, again, paying outrageous prices to do so). No, wait, really think about it. If you smoke a pack a day, you’re taking 5-10 minutes per cigarette to ingest countless unknown chemicals into your body just to feel normal! That’s 100-200 minutes of slowly, painfully killing yourself. I mean, could you imagine sitting for 2-4 hours a day just breathing smoke?

Instead, think about how much better you could feel, how much more attractive you can become, how much easier you could breathe, and how much more confident you can feel. And all you have to do is stop wasting your precious time breathing strange chemicals. The idea is really starting to sell itself, right?

Feel Better without Cigarettes
Think about how much better you’ll feel. Without your reliance on cigarettes, you’ll have noticeably higher levels of energy. Sure, nicotine is a mild stimulant, but, as with all stimulants, over a long period of abuse your body needs the stimulant just to maintain normalcy.

Also, abuse of stimulants decreases levels of serotonin in the brain, causing depression and lack of energy. So, if you’re a smoker that needs cigarettes for the energy boost, think about how. If you were a nonsmoker, you could have that energy all the time!

Look Better and Younger without Smoking
It’s a proven fact that smoking actually ages your skin, as well. This might account for the concept that teens smoke in order to “look older.” Rapid aging is a terrible effect of smoking. Smoking increases visible wrinkles, ruins your complexion, and gives the skin an unhealthy, yellowish tint.

Stop Smoking and Breathe Easier
If you quit smoking, you’ll immediately notice that you can breathe easier. For one, the cilia in your lungs regain motility and actually remove the junk built up in your lungs. Now, you’ll be capable of taking long, deep breaths. You’ll notice that you are no longer winded from mild physical tasks, such as housework or walking up steps. Many people fear that they will gain weight when they quit smoking, but really your ability to do cardio will be greatly improved.

Increase Your Self-Esteem
Because of all these factors, when you quit smoking, you’ll feel more confident and have more self-esteem. You’ll be more attractive to positive, desirable people. You’ll feel better about your body. You won’t have to worry about the stale smoke smell in your clothes, hair, skin, car, home, etc. You’ll begin to shine with a happy, healthy glow that says, "I am a strong-willed person capable and willing to take care of my mind and body!"

Quit Smoking and Quit Making Excuses with More Confidence
Often, when we try to quit smoking, we rationalize and come up with ridiculous reasons why we should continue our old, unnecessary habits. We build up difficulties and obstacles in order to maintain the status quo and avoid the seemingly painful process of growth and change. But, if you keep the previous benefits in mind, those short-lived urges will seem like a small price to pay, indeed!

Now take a deep breath and repeat after me....I Love Me Enough to Stop Smoking and Be Smoke Free!

Stress & Anxiety-Grab a New Perspective Here!

Negative events can create positive stress and positive events can create negative stress.

Does the above statement seem like it's turned around?

What is the key ingredient that makes the difference?

It's not what happens to you that determines the stress response, it's how you perceive what's happening to you.

What determines if an event creates positive or negative stress is not the event itself; it's your perception of the event.

Here's an example... most people would consider a wedding as a positive event.  Compare these two brides:

The first bride is thinking, this is my Cinderella Day.  I'm the star of the show.  I get to wear a beautiful white dress.  I've been dreaming about this event since I was a little girl.  I get to call the shots on my day.  It's my day to be Queen. My wedding day will be so magical.

The second bride is thinking, I'm so excited, I'm going to marry the man I love.  I can't wait to see him so we can experience this event together.  I'm looking forward to seeing all my family and friends that I haven't seen in years.  It doesn't matter what happens because I'm getting married!  We're going to go on our honeymoon and have a wonderful time together.

When things go wrong--problems with the caterer, or the invitations, or the flowers, or the cake, or the entertainment, etc. etc. etc.-- who do you think is going to experience more stress and anxiety?  The first bride or the second bride?

Their expectations are very different.  When things go wrong, the first bride's fairy tale world is shattered.  She may go into the control mode, trying to make things turn out as she expects them to be.  And as she loses control, she becomes frustrated and anxious and loses sight of the beauty of the event itself.  The second bride is better prepared to take things in stride.  That's because she is focused on the fact, that no matter what goes wrong, she is still getting married.  How cool is that?

When your expectations are not met, you feel stress and anxiety.  Your perceptions drive the stress response.  It's how you interpret what happens to you that determines whether or not you experience positive stress or negative stress.  In essence, you are creating your own stress!  Think about it.

Take a moment right now and reflect about a situation in your life that's creating negative stress.  What are your perceptions of that event?  What are you expectations?  Is it falling short of what you expect to happen?

STOP OBESERVE BREATHE AND SHIFT …..

Once you have shifted your physiology to a state of balance, notice the shift in how your body feels and embrace the calm peaceful feeling.  Do you notice that you feel less tension in the muscles in your neck and shoulders? Do you notice that your heart rate has slowed down?  Has the “knot” in your stomach relaxed?  Can you tell that the stress you were feeling has shifted?

You’re less than a heartbeat away from stress proofing your body for life..

Now Take one more Deep Breath and repeat after me......

Procrastination-The Paradox

Can you imagine....what it would be like....to discover that your habit of procrastination... can really serve you in some way?

If you're like me....and occasionally find yourself wondering why you procrastinate...and honestly attempting to break the cycle....

I can almost hear your mind saying..."That will never happen to me"..

"Procrastination is a habit I dislike...a habit I struggle with...a habit that holds me back...gets in my way!"

I, too... used to feel the very same way....until Saturday.

Saturday....I discovered the procrastination paradox .

It was a rather painful discovery I might add.

In a moment, I'll tell you why...

But first, allow yourself to imagine...that you or someone you love is struggling with having to say good-bye to a family pet.

Picture yourself with a pet that adores you...lovingly greets you when you come home....looks at you with adoring eyes...and unconditionally loves you no matter what you do or say.

Allow yourself to imagine...how difficult it would be...to watch helplessly as a devastating illness....quietly, stealthfully, and wickedly sucks the life out of your pet... and steals your friend away.

Now imagine....that it is up to YOU... to decide...IF and WHEN...you help your family friend...leave this world with dignity...and move out of the relentlessly painful existence they have lived in...to a place of health and joy in heaven.

I discovered the procrastination paradox on Saturday...when I helped my family friend leave this world with dignity....and find her place in heaven.

The truth is that I struggled several weeks to make the decision.....AND...the struggle allowed me to spend quality time with her before she moved on.  That was the paradox.

My struggle with procrastination served me in a number of ways.

The struggle allowed me to fully feel and understand her unconditional love for me....AND... the struggle taught me how to love her unselfishly and unconditionally too.

Katie Philpott...part bassett..part beagle...our family pet... gave me an opportunity to shift my perception about  procrastination.

Saturday.... I decided that I Love Me and Katie Enough to Be Procrastination Free.
